Fusion d’Issey, a mineral fougère fragrance for men, was created by master perfumer Nathalie Lorson. Longevity its like 3-4 hours and projection not that strong, almost skin scent after 2-3 hours on my skin. The bottle is made of shiny glass in a deep blue color, with the inscription Fusion d'Issey printed in bright orange. Bursting with energy and vitality, full of nutrients derived from their eruptions, they are surrounded by exceptionally fertile soil, an environment where nature thrives in all its freedom, power and abundance.

A gentle, intricate interplay of coconut and fig delivers a sweetness that many have compared to sunscreen; on my skin, it comes across as more fluffy and airy than something as oily as sunscreen, reminiscent of an Ariana Grande fragrance I once smelled (possibly Cloud, although I may be wrong). In any case I know they're not the same, but it's that coconutty (I know, not a real word) type accent which both have at times. After what for me is a bit of a loud opening, I can start to pick out distinct notes and accords, which provides a sort of narrative of what this fragrance is about. Coconut mixed with fig, an aromatic woodiness in the background with a touch of sandalwood, rosemary and ambroxan.This fragrance was just out of the world and it stayed for more than 16 hours and has a very refreshing scent. This is rather lovely, fresh and sweet, perhaps a little cloying so you don't need to go heavy on the sprays.

Between strength and balance, the aroma of peppermint mingles with the verticality of the profound mineral solar accord that is the signature of Fusion d'Issey. This one is a fragrance for lovers of the modern trendy but with some different - but subtle -nuances. The right person for this would be one that is kind of bored by designer releases yet doesn't want to go full on niche weirdness.Overall, I think the artistry and restraint in "Fusion" brings to mind a sort of daytime/semi-tropical ADG Profumo styling, which really works for me. Fusion d'Issey is a good one, arguably Miyake's attempt to jump on a certain trend but I like it and hope to get a bottle at some point once it gets discounted properly, it's definitely going towards the top my wish list! There are better smelling fragrances on the market but for the right person this one is actually very much worth it.
