On an aesthetic level, the Aerox 5 Wireless differs from the Rival 5 in that it has rectangular holes across the top, bottom, and main buttons, along with glossy instead of matte side buttons. SteelSeries reckon you can get over 180 hours over Bluetooth or USB receiver before needing to charge, which I’ve found to be true. State-of-the-art engineering gave rise to the Aerox 5, making it 40% lighter than other multi-genre mice. Along that same vein, this mouse is likely too large for anyone with a hand under 18cm or about 7 inches (measured from the butt of the palm to the tip of the middle finger) to use in a claw grip. I wanted a lighter mouse with extra buttons for productivity and for MMO gaming, but ultimately, the Aerox 5 was a non starter, because those extra buttons were so poorly implemented that I could barely take advantage of them. Weighing 6g, our battery is 14g lighter than those in other multi-genre mice, while still giving over 180 hours of battery life. It's not just long and wide, but bulky as well, clearly tailored towards filling the palm as best as possible.While that makes it less of a jack of all trades than the Areox 5 Wireless, it brings it closer to mastering MMORPGs in exchange.
