This book is a short but enchanting little story about a girl who befriends a magical dancing tiger. Anyway, the one element I didn't love is that I, as a general policy, dislike stories that do the "passing of the torch" thing (possibly because of my early established dislike of Peter Pan) where the elderly person turns over the cool thing to a young child. Most can thrive in unoptimized environments, making them perfect for beginner growers and cultivators who don’t have the time to get everything perfect. It shows how powerful dance can be and that the fact the tiger couldn't have a conversation with her didn't matter because they bonded over dance. She viewed the grandma having gotten old as sad; whereas, I saw the grandma as having lived a full life and remembering to share a magical piece of her childhood with her granddaughter.
